His organizational work is based on an extensive background in clinical psychology—as a private practitioner, a professor, and leader in healthcare and university settings. Andy helps organizations achieve critical advantage by assisting their executives and leaders with interpersonal issues, executive selection, change management, and mergers and acquisitions. He guides clients in developing leadership excellence, building their teams, changing organizational culture, facilitating strategic planning and working successfully with their Boards of Directors. He provides clients with objective analyses, clear recommendations and plans to improve performance, and techniques to resolve demanding work challenges. Andy works to ensure that complex interpersonal and organizational dynamics are optimally utilized to drive business success and profitability. He has worked with companies ranging from those in the Fortune 50 to entrepreneurial companies, including family-owned businesses. He has experience in a wide variety of industries, including but not limited to, financial services, medical supply, healthcare, professional firms, aerospace, educational institutions, oil and gas, government, engineering, mining, food service, manufacturing, telecommunications, utilities, retail, insurance, non-profits, internet, and high tech.

Andy is a licensed psychologist and is currently a Clinical Associate Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Colorado. Previous appointments include Director of the Department of Social Work at the John F. Kennedy Child Development Center at the University of Colorado Medical School, Director of mental health centers in Colorado and Vancouver, B.C., and Assistant Professor at the University of British Columbia Medical School, and Teaching Fellow and Visiting Sociologist at Harvard University.

Andy has a Master’s degree and Doctorate degree in Behavioral Sciences from Harvard University. He has a Master’s degree in Social Work from New York University and a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Colorado in Sociology. Andy is an author of a book and numerous articles in professional journals. He is a member of the American Psychological Association. When not consulting, Andy enjoys spending time in the Colorado mountains with his family and volunteering at local non-profits.
