Christy Pearson, Ph. D.
Christy Pearson is a licensed psychologist specializing in management psychology. Her expertise includes executive level assessment and development, which ultimately drives selection decisions, succession planning and leadership development programming. She is adept at advising organizations regarding their talent makeup, to ensure adequate bench strength and effective deployment of leadership capabilities. Additionally, her expertise includes helping organizations navigate through leadership/cultural issues inherent during broad scale changes such as mergers/acquisitions or significant growth of small and mid-size businesses. Working from a systemic point of view, her counsel ensures both immediate impact and lasting results. Her experience covers a diverse array of industries, including banking, nuclear, professional services, healthcare, pharmaceutical, biotech, insurance, manufacturing, restaurant, retail and government, as well as advising key leaders of organizations including C-level decision makers, vice presidents and agency directors.
Prior to joining Opus Leadership Group, Christy was a consultant with a firm specializing in linking managerial effectiveness, organizational performance, and business strategy. She has advised many companies regarding key decisions concerning succession planning, merger integration and development of results-oriented executive leader teams. Her previous leadership experience included being a member of a senior management team at a State of Colorado agency where she developed and managed new programs and interventions, resulting in recognized best practices. She also consulted to large government agencies in the areas of effective programming, development of new systems, change implementation, and employee retention.
Christy earned her Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from Oklahoma State University. She also has a Master of Science degree in Counseling Psychology from Northeastern State University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Oklahoma State University. She is a member of the American Psychological Association, the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology and the Association for Corporate Growth. She is also a board member for Red Rocks Credit Union. When not exploring the complex world of business organizations, Christy enjoys the many wonders of the Colorado outdoor life and exploring the natural beauty and wonders of the West.
